“Ask the Experts: The Entrepreneurial Journey”
On 11/23, Omega’s President, Tim Trapuzzano, was the featured guest speaker in an “Ask the Experts” series hosted by the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce. He discussed his broad understanding of entrepreneurship, Oak Ridge nuclear history, and the importance of retaining critical knowledge throughout the nuclear industry in response to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) succession planning efforts.
He also discussed how to start and run a small business in a climate as unique as Oak Ridge and DOE contracting. This effort was a great way to connect with one of our business communities, find potential networking opportunities, and champion the nuclear industry.

Lunch & Learn
The Omega Headquarters Team has started a professional development initiative! Monthly, an employee picks an industry-relevant book to read, becomes a Subject Matter Expert on the topic, and then informs the rest of the team about their learning over lunch. This month, Danielle Scott (Contracts Manager), discussed Death by Meeting.
The book encouraged a straightforward framework for creating engaging and exciting business meetings.
