Omega Welcomes Jeremiah Lunger to the Team
Mr. Lunger was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and lived briefly in Bristol, Tennessee. He then moved to North Augusta, South Carolina where he and his wife still reside. He began his career in the nuclear industry as an Operator at the Savannah River Site. During his first year as an Operator, he became so interested in the nuclear industry that he pursued a degree in Nuclear Energy and Technology at New Mexico Junior College through a scholarship from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
During his time at the Savannah River Site, he worked at multiple facilities, including the Solid Waste Management Facility, the Defense Waste Processing Facility, the Salt Waste Processing Facility, and the Savannah River Site Plutonium Processing Facility. Jeremiah has filled several roles and responsibilities, including the following: Field Operator, Control Room Operator, Technical Writer, Shift Operations Manager, Deputy Facility Manager, and Readiness Manager. In his free time, Jeremiah enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
