Hire Vets Medallion Award
Omega Technical Services is proud to announce we were awarded the Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award from the U.S. Department of Labor! The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes a company’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention, and professional development. As a Service-Disabled VeteranOwned Small Business, Omega has made it a priority to hire and support our veterans.
“At Omega, we love to hire veterans for many reasons. The leadership experience, technical skills, and work ethic that veterans bring to the job are superb. Those that have served are resilient team players with great collaborative skills and bring a level of precision and attention to detail that is very much needed in our line of work. It’s not always about filling vacant positions, it’s about finding the right people with the right skill sets to set us apart. Hiring veterans is a ‘no brainer.” – Chief of Staff, David Rose

Charitable Giving
Members of the Omega team donated and participated in Breakthrough T1D’s East Tennessee Walk in support of our Director of Contracts, Sam Sharp’s granddaughter Scarlette.
“Scarlette reached 100% of her lofty goal this year! She couldn’t have done that without wonderful caring folks like the Omega team. It is so nice to be part of an organization that cares about its employees, family, and community.” – Sam Sharp
The walk raised $104,382 for a path to cure, prevent, and better treat type 1 diabetes and its complications—and ensure access to treatments globally.

2024 Year End
As we wrap up another year, Omega and its leadership team would like to take this opportunity to thank our employees for the work they do furthering the strategic missions of the nation and being amazing ambassadors for the Omega brand. As I look back over the year at all the accomplishments of this incredible team, I am truly impressed by all great things we have achieved together. While we all function at different levels in the company, we all played a critical role in the overall success of Omega. Our technical employees in the field have improved processes for our customers and helped them achieve program milestones critical to meeting national missions. The corporate office employees have transformed the way Omega supports our technical employees and our customers by improving our business systems and streamlining processes adding value cross the company. Finally, our leadership team continues to do the challenging work of establishing a vision and laying the foundations for future success.
December is the month when we traditionally reflect on the past year, spend time with our family and friends, and recenter our religious beliefs. There is so much to be grateful for this year. I hope that every member of the Omega team takes the opportunity to celebrate this holiday season consistent with your personal and religious beliefs. In the tradition of my beliefs, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Employee Spotlight
This month, we are taking the oppurtunity to highlight Ray Maxwell. Ray has a long history of work in the nuclear field, with his specialty as startup, readiness, and commissioning. He remembers long, stressful, but fulfilling nights working on projects all over the world.
Ray attributes his work ethic to his father and his childhood. Ray grew up as the eldest brother of 4 siblings on a “semi farm” where he helped provide for his family. There was never any off time, but Ray said he wouldn’t give up a minute of the work that was expected of him. Ray proudly looked up to his father who was a military veteran.
The most important lesson he’s learned in his 45+ year career is, “Don’t give up”. The projects he was a part of were difficult, especially being away from family, but he stuck it through and helped complete multiple milestones in his career. The commitments he had to make in those jobs kept Ray coming back.
When he is not working, you can find Ray challenging himself in the gym, playing Bridge with a group of friends, or watching college football with his daughter’s family. Ray’s weekend plans usually include drinking his espresso Saturday morning, watching football games, and waking up early for church on Sunday.
ETEBA: Business Opportunities & Technical Conference
The Business Oppurtunities & Technical Conference (BOTC) is the Energy, Technology & Enviromental Business Association’s (ETEBA) annual conference. The event brings together a diverse community of professionals from technical, management, and business development fields to strengthen existing relationships and create new opportunities for connection within the nuclear industry. BOTC marked its 25th anniversary this year, celebrating a quarter-century of fostering collaboration and innovation. Omega President, Bill Tindal, hosted the East TN Feature: An Oak Ridge Update panel with esteemed members of the Oak Ridge community. Bill Tindal, Dave Rose, Chief of Staff, Erin Collins, Marketing Specialist, Dwight Warnock Vice President of Business Operations, Andy Notbohm, Vice President of Strategic Growth, and (not pictured) Haley Trapuzzano, Workforce Development Manager manned the booth, attended insightful sessions and networked.
Cary Langham, Vice President of Technical Services, and Tim Trapuzzano, CEO, kicked off the BOTC by attending the ETEBA scholarship golf tournament. They were joined by the President of ETEBA, Bob Granata, and the Prime Contract Administrator for Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Drew Fuller.

Recipe of the Month
This month’s recipe is provided by Kendra Daniels, who created a “copycat” version of her son’s beloved dish from their favorite Mexican restaurant. It’s a tried-and-true winner—Cindy Light has also made it for her son, and he’s just as hooked!
Creamy Chicken Tortilla Wrap
INGREDIENTS
2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
8- oz cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. paprika
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare the Sauce: Start by making the creamy cheese sauce. In a medium saucepan over medium
heat, combine cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika,
salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and stir in half of the
cheddar cheese. - Mix the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken with the freshly prepared creamy
cheese sauce until all the chicken is well-coated and deliciously creamy. - Assemble the Wraps: Take a tortilla and place a generous portion of the chicken mixture in the center.
Roll the tortilla tightly, folding in the sides to keep the filling secure. Repeat with the remaining tortillas. - Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the wraps seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
Pour any leftover cheese sauce over the wraps and top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Bake for
20-25 minutes or until golden and heated through. - Garnish and Serve: Once baked, let the wraps cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh
cilantro for an extra pop of flavor. Serve warm and enjoy!
