Omega Technical Services

Omega Consultants, Inc., doing business as Omega Technical Services, Inc. (Omega), is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Omega specializes in providing technical and professional support services to the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Nuclear Security Enterprise. Established in 1995 by Tim Trapuzzano, a former U.S. Navy submarine reactor operator, Omega’s primary focus has been supporting safe and efficient nuclear facility operations and production to maintain and sustain the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile.

A Rich History of Providing Technical
and Professional Nuclear Support Services.

Our work involves promoting a “fleet mentality” while providing “deck-level” support throughout the full lifecycle of a nuclear facility or nuclear site. Our history is rich in complex problem-solving throughout the Nuclear Security Enterprise. We are associated with new construction projects, modification projects supporting life extension of World War II facilities still in operation, and cleanup of legacy environmental issues. The Omega Way has proven to be transformational. As we help train new generations of proficient nuclear workers, we maintain legacy knowledge from the previous generations.

Omega’s Five-Year Strategic Plan
Depicts a Need for
500-1000 personnel.

Omega predicts annual revenues to expand from our current $30M to $50M within the next year.

Within five years, annual revenues should hit $100M.

As a result of this growth, Omega anticipates that the nuclear industry will benefit from and desire Omega’s specialized expertise. One industry sector includes DOE entities such as Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation (NA-20), Safety, Infrastructure, and Operations (NA-50), Defense Nuclear Security (NA-70), and Environmental Management (EM). A second industry sector includes governmental agencies dealing with nuclear-related issues like the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

We look forward to this growth while still holding true to our SDVOSB history.

  • The service-disabled vet bears in his or her body the cost of servicing freedom. An average guy, with an above-average concern for others, and a strong love for his country began this Omega. That average guy is a part of a great brotherhood. It is good to continue in my small way to serve our nation by helping Omega be successful and effective.

  • As I move into the final phase of my career, working for a SDVOSB is a natural fit because I know that Omega was founded by a fellow veteran and has a proud tradition of serving our nation’s #nationalsecurity needs.”

  • I enjoyed a full, satisfying career as an active duty Nuclear Naval Officer for 8 years and continued to serve our country after my initial service. Omega, as a veteran-owned company, highly values prior military service members and has allowed me to continue serving our country, contributing to the safe execution of Department of Energy and NNSA facilities and new projects.
