Dan Christie is an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and financial leader with a 40-year track record of driving growth and profitability, delivering measurable improvements, and scaling up and restructuring organizations to create significant value.
Mr. Christie retired in 2019 to hike the Appalachian Trail, but has continued to provide consultative CFO services, first as Interim CFO raising multiple rounds of private equity funding for a Houston-based Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) firm, the purchase of a former employer by a private equity firm, and finally, the tax advantaged U.S. acquisition of a Canadian software development company. Dan has served as Corporate Secretary of a U.S. listed firm and is currently on the Board of a 3-D scanning technology start up. He has extensive experience in software, Internet, and technology manufacturing operations for domestic and global firms. Dan has led critical transactions including Initial Public Offerings (IPO) (NASDAQ:DSTM), secondary offerings, multiple acquisition/integration and restructuring/divestiture transactions, as well as public (TSX-V:IBAT) and private equity/debt raises totaling more than $500M.
Mr. Christie has an AB degree from Colgate University, an MBA from Cornell University and a Certificate Diplôme from the Katholieke Universiteit at Leuven, Belgium. Following college, he served over 10 years in the U.S. Navy as an active and reserve Supply Officer in the Submarine Service (SSBN634 and AS31). Dan has held security clearances commensurate with his responsibilities in both the Navy and while employed by two technology firms delivering products and services to DOD.
