David “Dave” Rose

Chief of Staff

Dave serves as Omega’s Chief of Staff – a role that focuses on providing advice to the executive team and making time, information, and decision processes more effective. Dave works autonomously and helps by anticipating problems and overseeing key initiatives. Prior to his current role, Dave was a Program Evaluation Specialist in the Nuclear Nonproliferation Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) where he worked in process improvement and developing program evaluation strategies.

Dave retired from the U.S. Army as a Colonel with 30 years of experience and specialization in aviation, consequence management, capabilities development, organizational management, and interagency coordination. His capabilities include strategy development and execution, designing and implementing cross-functional business processes, and leading teams of up to 275 people. Dave’s personal career highlights were deploying for Operation Desert Shield/Storm, flying both helicopters and airplanes, and supporting multiple domestic disaster responses in various capacities (including Hurricanes Hugo, Fran, Katrina, and Sandy). Dave also deployed as a pilot in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and traveled overseas for training on multiple assignments.

Dave earned an undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University, a Master of Arts in Homeland Security/Counterterrorism from American Military University, and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College.

In his spare time, Dave enjoys traveling to new places with his family, serving with his church, keeping fit, watching Tennessee football (Go VOLS!), and playing with his two boxer dogs.
